But as we face increasing challenges like historic droughts\, floods\, and pollution\, our relationship with water has never been more complex. \nVisitors to “Ripples” will dive into Johnson County’s award-winning modern water management\, the ways humans have both controlled and been shaped by water\, and the evolving mindset that views water and humans as interdependent. DESCRIPTION:Flor Bromley is a Latin Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter for families. Originally from Peru\, her mission is to share the Latin American experience with a new generation through her music. She is a professionally trained musical theatre actress who uses global rhythms\, bilingualism\, and puppetry to engage audiences of all backgrounds and ages. She has released four bilingual family albums\, and her songs have been featured and played on the top 13 of Sirius XM’s Kids Place Live and PBS WNET Thirteen’s TV program “Let’s Learn.” Her album “Fiesta Global” was named an official selection of notable works for children by the American Library Association. “Pachamama\,” her album tribute to Mother Earth and her roots\, was awarded a National Parenting Product Award (NAPPA). Her song\, “The Ocean\,” a collaboration with Laurie Berkner\, was a finalist in a U.S. songwriting competition. Her latest album “Aventuras” earned a nomination as Best Latin Music Album for Children by The Latin Recording Academy.
