The limestone schoolhouse\, the last remaining structure in the former town of Lanesfield\, is the oldest operating schoolhouse in Johnson County. Students attended from 1869 – 1963 when the school closed. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. See these epic animals and learn about their characteristics and behaviors! \nCedar Cove is a non-profit conservation and education center committed to the care and preservation of wildlife species and their habitats while educating the public on the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems and the impending dangers of ecological collapse. \nEntrance and exit will be outside our main building\, but we have 2 restrooms in the building so you will be allowed in the building to use them but not allowed in the building otherwise. \nChildren 3 and under FREE and do not count towards group total! \nSaturday:\n\n \n\nTours starting every half hour\, beginning at 11:00.
