But as we face increasing challenges like historic droughts\, floods\, and pollution\, our relationship with water has never been more complex. \nVisitors to “Ripples” will dive into Johnson County’s award-winning modern water management\, the ways humans have both controlled and been shaped by water\, and the evolving mindset that views water and humans as interdependent. The exhibit showcases the region’s history through interactive displays\, artifacts\, and stories that illustrate the ripples left by past decisions and the ones we continue to create today. \nNow available as a book! Stop by the Museum Store to pick up a copy of “Ripples: Water\, Community\, and You.” Open Monday – Saturday\, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

Families can explore playgrounds\, ride pedal tractors\, go fishing\, take a wagon ride\, try gem mining and meet more than 250 animals\, including a new batch of baby goats ready for bottle feeding. \nPlus\, this year brings exciting updates\, including a brand-new slide structure and monthly sensory-friendly early admission days May through August. \nOpening Day activities include: \n– 10 a.m.-noon – Face painters at Gayle’s Outpost \n– 11 a.m.-2 p.m. – SevenDays Kindness handing out kindness stickers\, cards and bookmarks in the entry building \n– 1 p.m. – Mr. Stinky Feet performs at Gayle’s Outpost \n– Master Gardeners will be handing out zinnia seeds in the entry building (while supplies last) \nCome celebrate the start of another unforgettable season at the Farmstead.
