The radio-controlled RC Rover is capable of performing 23 experiments and activities. Campers will also have fun constructing our Artbot & Bristlebot! From ancient inland seas to today’s interconnected watersheds\, humans have always relied on water for survival\, trade\, agriculture\, recreation\, and more. But as we face increasing challenges like historic droughts\, floods\, and pollution\, our relationship with water has never been more complex. \nVisitors to “Ripples” will dive into Johnson County’s award-winning modern water management\, the ways humans have both controlled and been shaped by water\, and the evolving mindset that views water and humans as interdependent. The exhibit showcases the region’s history through interactive displays\, artifacts\, and stories that illustrate the ripples left by past decisions and the ones we continue to create today. \nNow available as a book! Stop by the Museum Store to pick up a copy of “Ripples: Water\, Community\, and You.” Open Monday – Saturday\, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

DESCRIPTION:Junior Robot Engineer: \n\nThis camp is a FUN introduction into the world of robotics! Campers will use KNEX to learn about the six simple machines and how they are incorporated into more complex machines. Campers will also learn about electricity\, circuits\, and power sources as they build our “Mars-like” RC Snap Rover. The radio-controlled RC Rover is capable of performing 23 experiments and activities. Campers will also have fun constructing our Artbot & Bristlebot! Campers will be able to take home the robots they build for hours of fun after the camp week has finished!  This camp sells out quickly every single year\, so don’t delay in registering your camper today.  A $10 Lab Fee is included for a total tuition of $385 per week.
