Crown Center has been home to the Mayor's Christmas Tree for more than 50 years.
Be a part of the Kansas City tradition with a lighting event you won't want to miss!
Discover Cocoa and Campfires, an area to enjoy hot beverages and s’mores by the fire pits. Stage entertainment begins at 5:30. Then, join the Mayor and guests for the countdown to light the tree. Fireworks to follow.
Join us on Crown Center Square, at 5:30pm on Friday, November 24th, to witness the illumination of one of the largest Christmas trees in the nation!
The tree is a symbol of the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund, which is dedicated to assisting the people of Kansas City during the holiday season. Program begins at 5:30 p.m. No admission fee.
The Mayor’s Christmas Tree will shine brightly on Crown Center Square from November 24, 2023 through January 2, 2024.
After the holidays, the wood from the Mayor's Christmas Tree is made into commemorative ornaments, which are sold the following year to benefit the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund. Visit Crown Center Customer Service, Level 2 of the Crown Center Shops, to purchase your 2023 Mayor's Christmas Tree Ornament beginning November 24th.
