Join Overland Park Mayor Carl Gerlach in Downtown Overland Park for a free, fun, family-friendly night full of hayrides, carolers, visits with Santa and more at the Mayor's Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony!
We are excited to announce that this year's beneficiary of the Mayor's Tree Lighting is a Downtown OP friend and neighbor, the Growing Futures Early Education Center. Growing Futures is a not-for-profit organization providing quality early education opportunities and support services for children and families right here in Johnson County. Today Growing Futures serves over 250 low-income children and their families with Early Head Start and Head Start programs.
If you would like to help us support the Growing Futures Early Education Center, you may do so by contributing financially or by donating items from the Center's wish list. Donations may be dropped off at the Downtown Overland Park Partnership office (7315 West 79th Street) between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, at the Downtown OP | Halloween Trick-or-Treating or at the Mayor's Tree Lighting event.
Stick around after the tree lighting to check out November Local Life 3rd Friday | Downtown OP - #DowntownOP businesses will be open late with live music, holiday shopping specials and much more!
