Mayor's Christmas Tree Lighting Event at Crown Center on the day after Thanksgiving
Join us on Crown Center Square on the day after Thanksgiving to witness the illumination of one of the tallest Christmas trees in the nation!
The 100-foot-tall Mayor's Christmas Tree is the centerpiece for an illuminating holiday celebration presented by Crown Center.
Crown Center President Stacey Paine welcomes Kansas City, Mo., Mayor Quinton Lucas and Hallmark movie stars for the countdown to light the tree. New Light Show and Fireworks to follow. The event begins at 6:30p.m.

The tree is a symbol of the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund, which helps fellow Kansas Citians in need celebrate the holiday season. After the holidays, the wood from the Mayor's Christmas Tree is made into commemorative ornaments, which are sold the following year to benefit the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund.
