Our New Arrival!

How does T/m welcome a historic baby doll into the collection? With a baby shower, of course! T/m’s bundle of joy was “born” in the late 19th century and is the work of African-American artist Leo Moss. Moss, a handyman in Macon, Georgia, made his portrait dolls in the likeness of family, friends, and members of the community. The museum is thrilled to welcome such an important and rare work of art into the collection.
Bring a new package of disposable diapers for Happy Bottoms, a Kansas City diaper bank, to help us celebrate our new little one. Baby Moss will go on exhibit next year, so don't miss this one opportunity in 2018 to see this special doll. Refreshments and a keepsake (while supplies last) are included. Diaper donation serves as admission to baby shower and T/m exhibits.
Price: Included with museum admission
