Old soldiers who fought for the Union during the Civil War invite you to join them as they recreate a 1908 G.A.R. Reunion Celebration on Saturday, July 2 at the Lone Jack Battlefield, Museum & Soldiers' Cemetery. The museum is located 1/2 mile south of US Hwy 50 at the Lone Jack exit. Fun for the whole family! Kids, adults, learn about history! Dedicated, knowledgeable living historians will give battlefield tours. Women and kids can enlist in a Broom Brigade! The Greater Kansas City American Legion Brass Ensemble will perform. There will be games, a Tug of War, patriotic songs and speeches! Admission is $5 for 8 years of age and up; 7 years and under, FREE. Admission to the museum and Cave Hotel are included.
