Slater St. Storybook Relay Invitation
Join Johnson County Library, the City of Merriam and your friends and neighbors to pass the final set of books down Slater St. from the front door of the former Antioch Library to the new Merriam Plaza branch, which will officially open on March 20. At least 300 participants are needed to stretch the quarter-mile door to door – all ages welcome! The event kicks off at 10 a.m. in the courtyard between the Merriam Plaza Library (6120 Slater St.) and the Merriam Community Center. Free parking is available at the Merriam Plaza Library/MCC parking structure (entrances off Slater St. and Ikea Way), Merriam City Hall and Antioch Library.
