SOAR Special Needs provides monthly FREE SOARly Needed R&Rs (Respite) both in person and virtually for individuals with special needs of all ages. REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Our in-person R&Rs will be at various locations throughout the greater Kansas City area and will have a simultaneous program for siblings from birth-13 years old. R&R events consist of a variety of activities including games, crafts, sensory, movies, worship, a short devotional, and more. We offer monthly two to three hour respite events on a Friday and/or Saturday. For the entire year, our respite nights will have a Safari theme! In order to help ALL of our families experience a time of respite, you will only be able to attend once, and then placed on a waitlist for future R&R's throughout the year. For all events, all staff and volunteers will be required to wear facemasks, and participants are highly encouraged to wear them and will be given a mask break as needed. All individuals will need to have a temperature check prior to entering the building.
