On the cusp of the centennial of the 1920’s, Shawnee Town will hold its best Speakeasy ever. Enter the world of Club Duke, named in honor of Jazz great Duke Ellington and Shawnee Town’s very own rooster, Duke, who really knows how to strut his stuff! Ask for the password, knock on the door to gain entry (or not!), and enter the world of mayhem and mystery.
Come as your favorite gangster, femme fatale, or bootlegger! This year we’ll be awarding prizes for the best costumes. Alan Akers will teach us the Charleston and the Grand Marquis will help you jive the night away. There will be light 1920’s style hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar selling beer, wine and soda. Ticket prices include two tickets for a special free Prohibition cocktail courtesy of J. Rieger & Co. Distillery. In addition, there may be a surprise or two up our sleeves for your entertainment!
Tickets: $35/single, $40/couple, Friends of Shawnee Town members, $30/single, $35/couple
