Spirit of the Civil War
to
Battle of Lexington Historic Site 1101 Delaware, Lexington, Missouri
Join us Saturday, Sept. 17, at Battle of Lexington State Historic Site to commemorate the Civil War battle that took place in Lexington Sept. 18-20, 1861. Reenactors and site staff will help you understand what life was like here and during the battle in 1861.
Reenactors will re-create the "Charge of the Anderson House" near our visitor center and have Union and Missouri State Guard camps open for viewing on the battlefield and behind the Anderson House. Site staff will offer living history demonstrations of rope and butter making on the back porch of the Anderson House.
