Alumni from the 1956-1978 Stan Kenton Orchestras, plus some wonderful new members, come together for clinics and a concert at JCCC! The band tours the United States every year, performing some of the well-known music of the Stan Kenton Orchestra plus fresh new materials written in the Kenton style.
The orchestra also carries on Kenton’s dedication to jazz education. This date will feature clinics with the Blue Valley West High School jazz band and the JCCC Jazz Band. Both of these student groups will perform their own set, followed by one hour of the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra.
