Ticket to Fun - Old Shawnee Days
to
Come have a fantastic time on the farm at Shawnee Town 1929 during Old Shawnee Days! The Museum's "Ticket to Fun" features nine different hands-on activities from playing marbles or horse shoes to making your own balsa wood airplanes in honor of Charles Lindbergh's 1927 flight across the Atlantic. You can do laundry the old fashioned way, plant seeds in the garden, and find the "ice box" in our 1920's farmhouse. Visit our rooster, Duke, and his chickens and Luna and her new baby bull calf, Chip. Finish your visit to the farm with free ice cream churned by a 1920's Amish built gas powered churner! It's all in a day's "work" on the farm! In addition, there's pony rides, a petting zoo, leather working, and a genealogy tent. It's all FREE on the farm! Ticket to Fun activities take place Saturday, June 2 from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm and Sunday, June 3 from 12:00-4:00 pm. Participate in 5 or more activities, have your ticket punched at each one, and you can select a cool prize in Shawnee Town's Visitors Center.
