Summer Reading at Johnson County Library
Allan Wolf, award-winning author of “The Watch That Ends the Night”, a novel in verse about the sinking of the Titanic, will lead an all-ages workshop on short story and novel writing in verse form. Verse writing is a poetry form that is free from the limitations of regular meter and rhythm and speaks through both the words written and the blank space shown. Learn more about this unique, easy-going poetry form from a master of the technique and prepare yourself for the Library’s June youth and adult verse story contests (see below).
This program will be hosted using the meeting software Zoom. A Johnson County Library staff member will contact registrants via email the day before the meeting with instructions on how to access the Zoom meeting. You do not need to download any software or create an account.
