We love to visit the local lakes each summer! The kids can play in the sand, swim, enjoy their inflatables (not allowed at most local pools), and picnic. And, it's affordable too! This weekend, we enjoyed a day at Longview Lake Swim Beach, one of our favorite annual traditions. The kids love to play in the sand and build sand castles and swim and play in the water. Best of all, it is zero-entry making it easy for little ones (and due to this year's drought, it doesn't get deep - adults are able to touch almost the entire distance). Life Guards are on duty at all times and the beach is large enough to accommodate a lot of people without getting crowded, making this a great summer fun outing for a break from the pool!
