I have posted about Daily Deal Sites like Groupon here before, but there has been an explosion of new sites in the last few months and I wanted to share some of the new sites with all of you so that you can be sure to get in on these deals! For anyone who isn't familiar with them, these sites offer you goods or services at a fraction of the price. You pay, for example, $15 for a $30 gift card to a local restaurant, an online retailer, or even for services like teeth cleaning or car washes.
With so many to keep track of, I recommend doing what I have done and use a separate email address that you use just for deals when you sign up for these daily alerts (you can easily get a free account with Hotmail, Gmail, or Yahoo). Then each morning you can look at that email account and run down the list of daily deals so you will know if you want to get in on any of them. That way you don't have to actually visit 10 different sites each day.
Here are all of the ones I check on a regular basis. Some have local deals, some have national deals (online or chain stores/restaurants), and some have both.
KC Parent Deals: Go here to join. Did you know that KC Parent has it's own deal site now? The first deal is from Zonkers and includes 50% Off: 2 Bounce House admissions, 12 Game Tokens and 4 Medium drinks. PLUS 10% off additional purchases, including Birthday Party Reservations. Good through July 31, 2011. There will be lots more great deals to come, too, from what I'm hearing!
Eversave: Go HERE to join. This site has almost all national deals and offers a variety of deals on electronics, clothing, jewelry, foods, and more. My favorite deal so far from Eversave has been $15 for $30 worth of goods from "No Slippy Hair Clippy" online. My daughter got a ton of new hairbows for a steal!
Charitable Coupons: Go HERE to join. This one was started by a few local KC residents and is just getting off it's feet. They feature almost all local KC deals. The notable difference between Charitable Coupons and the others is that they give at least 30% of their profits to the non-profit of your choice (from their list). So a percentage of every purchase I make goes back to my childs school. That's awesome! My favorite deal from them so far has been $5 for $10 worth of food at The Gaf!
Mamapedia: Go here to join. This one has quickly become one of my favorite deal sites. They feature mostly national deals geared toward moms or dads. Some recent deals include two months of Jazzercise for $39 (you can still get this one), $30 at Kidorable.com for $15, and $20 for $40 worth of toys from Back to Basics. SO many great deals with this one! They also give a small percentage of your purchase to the school of your choice.
Zulily: Go here to join. This is another of my favorites!! They feature lots of CUTE fashion for kids and they have a LOT of deals going on every day (as opposed to just one). Right now they have a great deal on Dollie and Me dresses for your daughter and her 18" doll for 50% off. Cute!
Living Social: Go here to join. Living Social features a good mix of national/online and local deals. They recently had a HUGE $10 for a $20 Amazon gift card deal...that one was NICE. They also feature a lot of spas.
Deal Bug: Go here to join. This site is also created by KC locals, and most of the deals are local deals. They also donate a portion of your purchase to charity. My favorite deal so far was one for Paradise Park.
Deal Pulp Go here to join. Deal Pulp features mostly national/online deals and had a HOT one not too long ago where you got a $10 Target gift card for just $7...woo! They also feature some fun fashion and unique businesses. You get a $5 bonus when you sign up for an account.
Gaggle of Chicks: Go here to join and get a $10 bonus credit. This one is geared toward moms and features national/online deals. My favorites have been an awesome cardboard house for kids from Box Creations for $15. They offer a lot of deals for pregnant women and babies.
Morgan's Deals: Go here to join. Another local one, Morgan's Deals features local restaurants and shops. Right now their deal is for Old Shawnee Pizza. Past deals have featured a lot of spas and restaurants.
The Foundary: Go here to join. The Foundary is different in that it is focused on higher end deals, mostly home furnishings and fashion. Though this weekend is all about pets on their site. But they also have Muk Luks, Fondue Pots, and Scout by Bungalow bags.
One Kings Lane: Go here to join. Another upscale deals site. This one features gourmet foods, household decor, stationary, and a variety of other higher-end items. There are good deals, though, so you may just find something you need for cheap!
I didn't even realize there were that many when I started this post! Another good benefit of Daily Deal sites is that many of them (not all), will give you referral credits when you share their site with a friend and they make a purchase. So join today, then share away!
