I've decided my life should have a soundtrack and that I need a theme song. In the Sarver home we love music and listen to all different types. A good song can turn your day around and put you back in the right frame of mind. There are lots of songs out there that speak to me, but recently I've enjoyed Pink's "Raise Your Glass" (don't listen to it with the kids around). The line, "Don't be fancy, just get dancy" is my motto for now. I take it to mean that I should lighten up, dance and enjoy this ride called life!
For my girls, "Forever Young" by Rod Stewart and "I Hope You Dance" by Lee Ann Womack are my wishes for them put to music. For Ty, it was our wedding song and still holds true for today, Billy Joel's "Just the Way Your Are."
And, I can't write a blog on music and not mention U2! With the 20th anniversary of Achtung Baby, I've been listening to those songs a lot. I think my favorite line from that album is "Sometimes a conscience can sometimes be a pest" because really, it just can be. And, for my Friday morning coffee friends, if any of you read this before we meet, my favorite song from that album is Ultra Violet (Light my Way).
What about you? What song should be playing as you enter the room?
