For months you plan and prepare. You pick colors. You lay everything out. You dream of what it will be like when it comes. You wonder what it will be like, what everyone will think when they finally meet the new arrival. Will they love and adore it? Will they be pleased? And, will it EVER come?
Many times in the web development process, I've compared building a new website to pregnancy and labor.... so much anticipation... so much wondering, "Will it ever come?".... so much work and preparation. Are we ever excited to say... "It's Here!"
After months building, designing, creating, and planning KCParent.com is live and last night we CELEBRATED!
KCParent hosted a party at Antisdel's Photography Studio in Louisburg celebrating 24 years of Kansas City Parent Magazine, 6 years of Kansas City Baby Magazine, and the launch of an ALL NEW KCParent.com. We are fortunate to be able to provide local, relevant, useful information to moms... for FREE.. thanks to our many wonderful and supportive advertisers. They celebrated with us as we did a Facebook Photoshoot and Antisdel's took photos of each of our guests for their Facebook profile pages.
For my team, Cameron Horton (web developer) and Kayla Hennegin (Graphic Designer), it was especially exciting to see the site on a LARGE screen like we've never seen it before! I truly had the dream team on this project and I am extremely thankful for all their hard work and talent!
And of course, no party is complete without food. The highlight were scrumptious and whimsical cookies baked by Cookies By Design with our new website logo! They were a big hit and much loved by all!
We appreciate everyone who came out on a Monday to celebrate with us! We hope you love and enjoy the new site as much as we do!
