No matter how you say it, slice it or dice it, there is no getting around the fact that my baby is turning 9! I am amazed at how the time has flown by. I can close my eyes and see her as a newborn, so tiny and bright-eyed and such an amazingly good baby. She met every milestone on time and was a "by the book" baby. I wish I could have had her as a baby a little longer (and a toddler, preschooler, ...you get the point).
But instead of spending too much time being nostalgic and sad (I'll save that for next month when my other baby starts Kindergarten), I will concentrate on celebrating her and the beautiful, talented, smart young woman she is becoming. As she did when she was a baby, she continues to surprise me on a daily basis. I didn't know being a mom would be this much of an adventure, but I am blessed to be on the ride of my life with her.
Tori decided to have a slumber party with friends to celebrate. So if there is not a blog from me next week, you'll know, I didn't survive the fun!
