The life of a parent is one of unpredictability and change, and the challenge we face is learning how to constantly adapt to all of these changes. Once we get in a groove and feel like we have it figured out, our child moves to another new phase, and we are left scratching our heads trying to figure everything out again.
Welcoming another baby into the family is obviously a huge change, and though we aren't there yet, there are some changes we're anticipating and trying to figure out. We are thrilled that God has allowed us to be pregnant for a second time! At 22 weeks, I'm feeling energized and very comfortable. God is good!!
However, the question keeping me up at night is, what doI do with our daughter for sleeping? She will be 2 years, 3 months when this little BOY pops his head into our semi-calculated world. Do I transition Ava this summer into a twin bed, or do I do all that I can to "beg, borrow, or steal" another crib (no, not literally, but you know what I mean), which would mean both kids would be in cribs?
Moms!! Please share your advice and your experiences! My daughter is very easy going, but not always the greatest napper - sometimes she can lie awake for 2 hours just talking to herself! At least I know she's in the crib and safe.....but would she stay in a bed for that long? I'd love to hear your experiences, especially the ones that didn't work out!
