We have a brand new baby,
They brought it home today.
It hasn’t got much hair and
It hasn’t much to say.
It screams when it is hungry,
It yells when it is wet.
Now why we have this baby
I really don’t know yet.
The only time she’s quiet
Is when she’s gone to sleep.
Then Mama whispers, “Hush, Son,
And don’t you make a peep.”
Her eyes are blue and friendly
As you can plainly see.
Today she held my finger,
And then she smiled at me.
We have a brand new baby,
She’s kind of cute, you know?
I think that we will keep her,
Because we love her so.
