While some pumpkin patches are a quick stop to pick out a pumpkin and snap a few photos, KC Pumpkin Patch is truly a full fall experience. Plan to spend at least two hours here — and don’t be surprised if your kids ask to stay even longer!
Our KC Pumpkin Patch Experience
One thing that immediately stood out about KC Pumpkin Patch is how stroller-friendly it is. A paved walkway circles the main area, making it easy to navigate with little ones while still having access to many of the attractions.
Mom tip: Save pumpkin shopping for the end of your visit! The pumpkins are located toward the back of the fenced area, so either plan to make that your final stop or bring a stroller/wagon to help haul your pumpkins back.
The location is another huge bonus. Being in Olathe makes KC Pumpkin Patch an easy fall outing for families throughout the Kansas City area.
60+ Farm Activities for Kids
The biggest reason families love KC Pumpkin Patch is the sheer number of things to do. Admission includes access to more than 60 farm activities, giving kids plenty of opportunities to climb, slide, play and explore.

My 6-year-old’s favorite attraction was the Mega Slide. This isn’t your average playground slide! Kids ride down in a plastic inner tube while the staff adds extra slickness underneath to help them fly down the hill. Watching her scream with excitement every time she went down was easily one of the highlights of our visit.
My 4-year-old daughter loved the Mining Sluice. She spent so much time sifting through the water and sand, washing rocks and discovering colorful gems. She proudly brought them home, and they have officially become part of her rock collection.
The best part about KC Pumpkin Patch is that kids with very different personalities can all find something they love — whether they want big thrills, hands-on activities or slower-paced exploring.

One thing that really sets KC Pumpkin Patch apart is the food! Many pumpkin patches offer a few seasonal snacks, but KC Pumpkin Patch has a full lineup of fall favorites.
Our girls loved the cider donuts, and the adults enjoyed the wine slush topped with whipped cream and caramel drizzle.
