When it comes to planning a party, Legoland Discovery Center has you covered.
My grandma said it best: “They thought of everything.” They offer different packages to fit each birthday kid’s and parent's wants. All packages include the birthday child plus 11 guests, with the option to add additional kids at a discounted rate from regular admission. Along with admission to Legoland, each guest receives a crown and a party favor activity pack. They also offer free party invitations that you can print or email.

One of the packages includes a private party room, a party host, decorated tables, beverages, and the option to bring your own cake. This is the package we chose, and boy, did it take all the stress out of planning a party! The host served our food and kept the party on schedule. My mom forgot to bring a knife to cut the cake, but Legoland already had one ready. Our host even cut and served the cake for us. I was able to chat with our guests and enjoy watching my kids have fun with their friends and family instead of stressing over every detail. I loved watching the kids have a dance-off, with the host joining in and dancing with them. He graciously crowned them all the new dancing champions!

After our hour in the party room ended, they stored the leftover cake, gifts, and other belongings we didn’t want to carry in a locked storage room near the Legoland exit. Once the party room time was over, it was time to explore Legoland!

Legoland offers different Lego building areas, Miniland KC, two rides, a 4D cinema, the Lego Ninjago Training Camp, and the Duplo farm for younger Lego fans. If you need a snack, you can visit the coffee shop, which also serves Starbucks coffee.

KC Parent Pro Tips for hosting a birthday at Legoland:
- Have your guests arrive at least 15 minutes early, especially if you book the party room. You only have an hour, and they cannot extend your time. Some parents attending needed to purchase their admission, and there was a line of people doing the same. I also told our guests who tend to arrive late to come earlier than those who are usually on time.
- You cannot bring outside food. The only exceptions are cake or cupcakes. If you book the party room, you also have the option to purchase pizza.
- Adults and kids both count toward the total guest number, which is why parents who wanted to stay had to purchase a ticket.
- Have a guest list on hand to keep track of arrivals and know who to watch for.
- Most importantly, enjoy watching your kids have an amazing birthday with their friends!
