Shawnee Town 1929 is currently undergoing an expansion that will allow visitors to experience a typical day in and around the 1920s farm community of Shawnee, Kansas, through authentic collections, exhibits, programs and events. We look forward to your participation in one of the many new and exciting programs Shawnee Town 1929 has to offer.

Shawnee Town 1929 is an active living history museum, where visitors of all ages learn what it was like to live in Shawnee, Kansas in 1929. Engaging and thoughtful tours, exhibits and programs will allow visitors to experience a typical day in and around the farm town of Shawnee in 1929.

At Shawnee Town 1929, we believe an understanding of the past enriches our lives today. We invite visitors to experience a typical day in and around the farm community of Shawnee, Kansas in the 1920's. Visitors have a tangible and relevant historical experience through actively participating in it.
