Deciding where to deliver your baby is a big decision. Truman Medical Centers/University Health (TMC/UH) is here for you! With two campuses you’re sure to find the best fit for you. Both locations provide personal navigators to guide you through your pregnancy journey. TMC/UH provides lactation support and services to help prepare you for your breastfeeding experience.
Some expecting mothers choose our Lakewood Campus in Eastern Jackson County for the high-quality care and the delivery experience at The Family Birthplace. Newly renovated labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) suites offer queen-sized Murphy beds so both mom and dad can stay once the baby arrives. TMC/UH Lakewood is ideal for expecting moms who crave the supportive nurturing experience of a certified nurse-midwife. Lakewood has a Level II NICU should your baby need additional support.
