There are SO many printable coupons out there that can make a real difference in your budget, but you have to know where to find them! Here are some of the sources I use and some ideas on where you can find the coupons you need!
COUPON WEBSITES
There are a few websites devoted to printable coupons that are a great first place to start.
These websites typically have a new batch of coupons each month (adding a few here and there throughout the month) and feature coupons from major brands and products. You have to install their coupon printer in order to print the coupons, which is fairly quick and easy. In general, you can print two of each coupon on these websites, unless they "reset" the coupon so that you can print two more. You select and print the coupons you want, and when in doubt...print it NOW! A lot of times coupons will go away after a certain number of people print them, so don't wait if it's a coupon you know you will use. However, don't print coupons unless you truly intend to use them because it's a waste of EXPENSIVE printer ink and paper!
COMPANY WEBSITES
Many companies have printable coupons on their websites. A lot of times when I am adding something to my shopping list that I don't have a coupon for already, I will bring up the manufacturer website to check for a coupon. Look in the menu or at the very bottom of the website for "Special Offers," "Promotions," or "Current Offers" if you don't see anything labeled "Coupons." If there isn't a coupon available, sign up to get emails from the company...you may find a coupon in your inbox!
A lot of stores put store-specific coupons on their websites as well. Target updates their coupons once every couple of weeks usually and the best part of those coupons is that you can use them in addition to manufacturer coupons to double up the savings! (More about Target Coupons in the next section). CVS also has printable coupons on their website and so do many grocery stores. Read the fine print on the coupon to see if it's a manufacturer coupon or a store coupon.
COUPON DATABASES
I rarely bother with Googling for coupons. You usually find a bunch of expired coupons or worse...illegitimate ones. Instead, I use coupon databases to find out if there are available coupons for an item.
A Full Cup is a great resource because of an amazing coupon database that is searchable and includes both printable and print coupons, as well as forums where you can share your deals and finds and benefit from the expertise of others. You do have to be a member (free) to use the database. A Full Cup also has a Target Coupon Generator that allows you to print Target coupons that have not expired, but are no longer on the Target website (and you can print multiple copies of the same coupon unlike on the Target website).
I also like Deal Seeking Mom's coupon database...not as robust as A Full Cup's, but easy to use and includes both printable and print coupons. You don't have to be a member to use this one.
There are a couple of things to remember about printable coupons. First of all, some stores do not accept them or do not accept coupons over a certain dollar amount. Second, it is illegal to photocopy coupons, so once your print limit is reached, that's it! Also, be VERY leery of a .pdf coupon that allows you to print unlimited quantities. Most of these are not legit. You can check to see if a coupon is invalid on this website if you are in doubt.
Despite these issues, most printable coupons are widely accepted and 100% legal. So print them and use them with confidence!!
