So here's my not-so-great mom moment of the week. The girls have just come home from school and we are all at the kitchen table having snack when Tori asks, "So let's say you don't want to have kids. How do you make it happen so that you don't have any?" Insert crickets chirping. Then Ally pipes up with, "I think you just tell God you don't want any and then he doesn't send any your way." And I chime in with, "Wow! Did you see how hard it is raining outside?" Ally: 1, Mom: 0.
How do you handle these types of questions? I believe in honesty but I also believe in being age appropriate. I was sure thrown for a loop when that question was posed! What would have been the honest, age appropriate answer? I'm still searching, so if you have any tips, send them my way!
