Veteran's Day is November 11th. I am particularly invested in this particular national holiday having a husband in the military, but we all should make an effort to say THANK YOU to veterans and/or those currently serving in the military this week. The sacrifices they all have made and are making still are the reason that the rest of us can enjoy the freedoms that we have. So ask them to tell you about their time in the service, give them a round of applause, bring them flowers or a batch of homemade cookies, hang your American flag in front of your house, buy them coffee and listen to them talk, send a letter to a military member overseas (check out Operation Gratitude), have your kids draw a picture of their hero, pay a visit to the WWI Museum/Liberty Memorial, or say a prayer for our troops overseas. And if you can't do any of those things, a simple THANK YOU is enough.
And since I do love to blog about deals, I will add a couple of deals for Veterans going on this week! Thank you to these companies for recognizing the sacrifices of servicemembers!
