If you're a Mom, you know the challenges you might face bringing your children to any public place to eat. But the reality is, kids have to eat, and sometimes, Mom's kitchen isn't always open. Where do you turn for a good meal, friendly service, and overall kid-friendly dining?
Chick-Fil-A has been our go-to place for our daughter, and I'm sure many of you out there can attest to the fantastic service and delicious food. Their mission statement is to "Be America's Best Quick-Service Restaurant", and I absolutely believe they have lived up to this mission.
Upon entering, you will be greeted with friendly staff eager to serve you in a quick manner. Ending each request from customers with "my pleasure," you start to wonder if you're on a cruise ship or still just in a fast-food restaurant. Friendly staff that is polite, cheerful, and happy to assist you makes CFA stand out from the rest. Carrying a tray of food for a Mom in tow with a little brood, or gathering high chairs up at a table for another Mom is not an uncommon service one could expect from employees at CFA.
My two favorite kid-friendly items in Chick-Fil-A would have to be the plastic adhesive placemats and kid straws that bend! Yes, it's the little things for a Mom that make all the difference! The fact the placemats are offered period makes me happy, knowing my child's food will not be touching the surface of the table. But to know that the placemat will also stick to the table to ensure no movement of food items whatsoever makes me extremely happy! Providing straws that bend means there is a much higher likelihood that you child will leave with a dry shirt, rather than one soaked with milk all down the front of them.
Free refills from an upbeat and polite staff accompany the delicious tasting chicken that Chick-Fil-A offers. The boneless breast of chicken is grilled to perfection on a slightly toasted bun, and they offer an array of dipping sauces to choose from for dipping fries or chicken in. And no good kid friendly dining would be complete without a play place, to which Chick-Fil-A offers one just like the rest. I personally like it because it's moderate in size. It's challenging and fun for younger ones, but boring enough to a 13 year old, which means little ones won't be coming out injured from bigger kids running through.
Kids eat free on Tuesday nights, which is a helpful option if the day has been busy and your meal is still buried in your freezer somewhere. What are some kid-friendly places you like to eat with your kids?
