I read a column in the paper this week. The author had written a letter to his mom, telling her all the things he would be saying at her funeral, but taking the chance to tell her while she was alive. It inspired me-I so often leave a funeral thinking, "I hope this person knew how special he was to so many people." So I've got a master plan. For Christmas next year, I am going to get my siblings and myself to write down what we would say at our parents' funerals and then put them all together in a book. It will take me that long to track down my brothers and sisters (an in-laws) to get them all, but I can't think of better gift to give someone.
Life is short and can change in the blink of an eye. Be sure to let those you love know how you feel today and every day!
