I absolutely love music. And song lyrics are my favorite kind of poetry. Lately I’ve been having fun making art from music, so I thought I’d share one of my favorites with you.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. John Denver’s song “For Baby” makes me a better mom. It reminds me to slow down, take it all in, and hold on tight. I’ve always wanted to put the lyrics up at home to remind me of this, and so I finally made a grouping to go up in my kitchen.
I had these old, white frames that looked a bit dated. When I asked Natalie what color I should paint them she said light blue, because it means “happiness.” “It does?” I inquired. She said according to Judy Moody’s mood ring, in book #3, light blue means happy. So, light blue it is!
I stuck these outside and sprayed them, and voila! New blue frames to go with our new blue birds. And here are the lyrics included.
I am giving you these same prints, in a printable version that you can have for your own framing purposes. They are 7 x 5 so that’s the size frame you’ll want to use. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do and become a better mom, too!
