We are a family that loves our music. My husband has a talent for music and can play the guitar and both girls have pretty good singing voices (and when asked what I play, I reply "the radio"-needless to say, my musical talents are lacking). You'll often hear a CD playing in one of the girls' rooms, the radio going in my room or guitar tunes coming up from the basement. In addition, both Ty and I love to attend concerts (and enjoy traveling to see our favorite bands).
As Tori has gotten older, she has developed an interest in listening to "popular" songs on the radio. Have you really listened to the lyrics of some of those songs they play on the radio? Highly inappropriate! So I was stuck and did not want to turn this into a battle with her. Luckily we stumbled across the Kidz Bop series. What they do is take current pop songs and record them in a child-friendly format-brilliant! We recently got the Kidz Bop Halloween CD. As soon as OCT rolls around the girls will be listening to the CD and I won't have to worry about what they are listening to.
