“I wish...” I recently heard my four-year-old daughter say from her car seat.
I mentally tried to fill in the blank. I was certain she was going to wish for candy, toys or a trip to the park.
Instead, she continued by saying, “that our backyard was full of dandelions.”
I chuckled and asked her why. It was because she thinks they are beautiful.
Leave it to a four year old to turn weeding into an opportunity for picking a bouquet.
I like the way that girl looks at the world. I do believe she is meant to teach me a thing or two.
In the meantime, I fully plan on capitalizing on her desire to pick the “flowers.”
