KC Ice: Currently we will be running our programs on a normal schedule (including Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey). As always, we want our facility to be just as safe and fun as possible in order to operate normally for all of our clients. In order to provide a safe and healthy environment, we respectfully ask for your assistance as well. If you or your family member(s) feel impaired in any way, please stay home. In addition, we want to let you know the precautions KCIC has put into effect. We encourage handwashing with more frequency throughout the time at the rink (wash for at least 20 seconds each time—sing the ABCs if you’re unsure!) * Provide hand sanitizer in the Lobby Area and Skate Counter for customer and employee use. * Increase the frequency of sanitation of all surfaces at the rink. * Enhance cleaning of “touchpoint” areas such as doorknobs, countertops, light switches, handrails, etc. We have taken these precautionary steps in order to ensure that we can provide the safest environment possible for all of our skaters and their guests.
Leawood Parks & Rec: In response to the outbreak, Leawood Parks and Recreation is stepping up sanitation efforts in all of our indoor facilities and taking steps to minimize physical contact in youth soccer and other programs. Currently, we have not canceled any events or programs, which could change at any time. We are keeping abreast of all communication from the Johnson County Health Department, KDHE and the CDC on any updates. It is very important that everyone take every precaution to stay safe, including frequent hand washing and the use of hand sanitizer. This is critical in slowing the virus down so the healthcare system can continue to manage the situation moving forward.

All other Lenexa Parks & Recreation programs are also canceled. For questions, contact Parks & Recreation customer service Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 913.477.7100.
Lenexa Public Market: The Lenexa Public Market is taking every precaution to keep our customers, staff, and the community safe during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. Since the COVID-19 (coronavirus) made its way to our area, we began taking extra steps in an effort to promote the safety and well-being of our customers, merchants and staff, and the community at large. Please be assured that we, along with Lenexa city leaders are closely monitoring the situation and staying up to date with guidance and direction from the World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC), Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and Johnson County Health Department (JCHD). The City of Lenexa has created a coronavirus information and resources webpage and will post updates here.

In the meantime we will be maintaining our park to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness (https://www.urbanairtrampolinepark.com/…/trampoline-park-cl…). We look forward to welcoming you back to Urban Air soon. Sincerely, Nicole, Aimee & Jerrad
Wonderscope: In consideration of public health concerns surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Wonderscope will close on Saturday, March 14, and remain closed for the foreseeable future.
Wyandotte County, KS:
Great Wolf Lodge: The health and safety of our guests and pack members is always our primary focus and it guides all decisions made at Great Wolf Lodge. In response to COVID-19, we implemented enhanced sanitation measures at our resorts and provided CDC updates stating there is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread through the use of pools or hot tubs. We have had no reported positive COVID-19 cases within our guest or pack community. However, with the recent focus from federal and state government officials on restricting large gatherings, we believe it is in the best interest of our guests and pack members to temporarily close all of our resorts and plan to re-open on April 2. The closure will be effective starting at 2 pm on Sunday, March 15, so that guests staying at the resort the evening of March 14 will have full use of the water park and recreational facilities before departing. For all guests with reservations from the evening of March 15 through April 1, we will automatically cancel your reservation and provide a full refund. Please be patient with us, as with the number of reservations that need to be canceled it may take 7-10 days before we’re able to process all refunds. This is an unprecedented and challenging time, and we are very appreciative of the overwhelming support from families like yours who enjoy spending time together at our resort. We look forward to welcoming you back after we re-open and hope to help your family create more fun-filled moments. We will continue to stay connected with federal and state health officials to monitor the ongoing situation and provide our guests with additional updates as warranted. After the resort re-opens, we will continue following official health department recommendations and the enhanced sanitation measures we implemented for the well-being of our guests.

Sporting KC: In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's guidance to postpone events involving more than 50 people over the next eight weeks, Major League Soccer has extended the postponement of its matches during this period of time. MLS remains focused on playing the entire 2020 season and is evaluating all options, including pushing back the end of the season and playing MLS Cup in December, as the league did prior to the 2019 season. The league is also identifying other available dates. Throughout this process, MLS will continue to prioritize the safety of our fans, players, employees and partners and to coordinate with federal and local public health authorities as well as other sporting organizations.

Additional Kansas Attractions:
Cedar Cove: Cedar Cove is making adjustments to the current sociological conditions in order to follow best practices and do our best to help limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus, and as such: We will be CLOSED for weekend tours and general admission. We rely heavily on our admissions and donations from our guests and patrons, but prioritize the safety of our staff and community of supporters. The large volume of traffic we see on the weekends would make it nearly impossible to isolate and sanitize sufficiently and is certainly not prudent. We will re-evaluate the situation as advised by authorities after the weekend of April 5th. We will be OPEN for our Private, Scheduled weekday tours of SMALL GROUPS (10 and under) by appointment. We believe that the outdoor environment, small group size and information accountability will allow us to continue to operate with the best safe practices in place. Whatever the human environment may be, the animals under our watch still need food, cleaning, medical attention and care on a daily basis and our dedicated core staff is ensuring that there is no lapse in that care. To that end, we ask all our friends and supporters to act not only in their own best interests of health, but with a greater awareness of their communities and individuals who may need assistance at this time. Ironically, in this time of isolation we hope to find a greater coming together of the communities at large.
Cosmosphere: In alignment with best practices to help stop the spread of Coronavirus, the Cosmosphere will close effective Tuesday morning, March 17, 2020 with plans to reopen Wednesday, April 1.
Kansas Children's Discovery Center: As announced last night, in the interests of our community and the families we serve, the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center will temporarily close to the public for at least two weeks, beginning today, March 14, 2020. During our closure, the Discovery Center Education Team is still hard at work! We will be sharing information about how families can continue to engage in educational play at home at www.kansasdiscovery.org/home. Follow us here on Facebook for new ideas!
Prairie Park Nature Center: Following Health Dept guidelines, the city of Lawrence will be closing all of its recreation centers, as well as the Prairie Park Nature Center for the next 2 weeks. We regret that we will need to cancel all programs during this period of time. Refunds for all scheduled programs will be issued. During this time, nature center staff will be reporting for duty as usual and caring for the animals;. The park remains open to the public.
Strataca: As news continues to spread and the number of outbreaks spike, safety and proactive decision making are now more than ever our focus for our employees and our visitors. This pandemic affects us all, so it is pivotal that we hold tight to our values of being a SAFE world-class attraction. Therefore, we are still operating business as usual and welcome all guests to adventure underground!
