Worlds of Fun
Amusement parks and water parks are great for thrill-seekers, and Kansas City, Missouri, has both. At Worlds of Fun, you can hit a high speed of 75 mph on the Mamba, soar 300 feet in the air on the SteelHawk or defy gravity by spinning upside down in a full circle on the Zulu. Oceans of Fun, the adjacent water park, has more thrill rides, like the Constrictor. The Predator’s Plunge takes it a step further, with a near-vertical drop from the aqua-launch to start the slide.

RoKC Olathe
If you prefer to be in control for a hands-on adventure, RoKC has you covered. RoKC is a rock-climbing gym with a few different locations around the KC metro: one in Olathe, Kansas, and two in Kansas City, Missouri. At RoKC, there are multiple ways to climb. You can scale up to 50 feet high on the auto-belaying walls, or just dip your toes into the experience and try the bouldering walls, which are much shorter and don’t require a harness.

Go Ape
GoApe is another zip line adventure park, this one in Kansas City, Missouri. As well as zip-lining, GoApe features ropes courses through the trees and axe-throwing. You’ll traverse obstacles like nets, bridges and what they call the “Tarzan swing.” You’ll finish the course with a zip line ride back to the ground. The Treetop Adventure is the biggest course, with a maximum height of 45 feet and the longest zip line at 475 feet. GoApe also has smaller, more introductory-level courses.

Snow Creek Ski Area
Snow Creek in Weston, Missouri, is the place for winter lovers, sports fans or anyone who wants to try something new and exciting. They offer snowboarding and skiing lessons at different skill levels and snow tubing fun for all ages. If you already know how to ski or snowboard and just need a place to practice, you’ll find many hills of varying heights for you to show off your skills.

Blade & Timber—Kansas City
Test your strength and get a rush of adrenaline with each throw at Blade and Timber, an axe-throwing place with three locations around Kansas City. You or your group will have a coach to train you on the proper technique, and you’ll also find a menu of food and drinks to enjoy while you play. iFly Kansas City
As the name implies, at iFly Kansas City, you will feel like you’re flying. iFly is an indoor skydiving simulator. You’ll float in an air chamber while gusts of air make you feel like you’re soaring through the sky. Any age, ability and experience level can have fun at iFly, since your flight instructor will teach you everything you need to know. They offer a few different flight packages for both individuals and groups.

Motus Ninjas
If you ever dreamed of being on American Ninja Warrior, Motus Ninjas is the place for you. With locations in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and Overland Park, Kansas, they offer ninja classes for both kids and adults, where you can learn to navigate a lot of different obstacles. With enough training, you can even compete in ninja competitions. If you don’t want training but still want to challenge yourself on the obstacles, Motus Ninjas also has open gym sessions.

Rush Funplex
Rush FunPlex has it all! It has an arcade, mini golf, bumper cars, rock climbing, a foam pit, laser tag and more. There are two locations around KC: one in Kansas City, Missouri, and one in Shawnee, Kansas. You can purchase activity passes to enjoy everything except the arcade or pay for only one activity (mini golf or bowling). Arcade cards/credits are sold separately. Rush FunPlex is also a great spot for birthday parties.
