KC Parent Pro Tip: Heading to a Touch-a-Truck with a toddler or younger child? Look for a sensory-friendly or horn-free hour. Many events offer a quieter time before the honking and sirens begin. I first took my little guy when he was just over a year old and already fully obsessed with anything on wheels. He loved seeing the trucks up close, but all the sudden horns and sirens were a little overwhelming. If it’s your little one’s first Touch-a-Truck, the sensory-friendly time can make for a much happier introduction!
