Winter Editor's Letter

Pregnancy. Is there really anything else like it? It’s an almost surreal 9 months. From all of the changes your body goes through to the end result, no other experience compares. Whether you are sick for nine straight months or have a by-the-book pregnancy, being pregnant is certainly an important time in a woman’s life.

As you know, we’ve been celebrating the 10th anniversary of KC Baby throughout this past year. As we enter our 11th year, we’re making some exciting changes to the ONLY local magazine in the market for pregnant and new moms. Beginning with this issue, you’ll see significant changes to KC Baby. Not only is the magazine being redesigned for a sleeker, more modern look, but the editorial focus is shifting towards the pregnant mom.

We’ve dubbed this issue the “Pregnancy Issue” and have everything for all of our pregnant readers. From an article on creative ways to share the news that you are expecting to a 1st trimester quiz and the best apps for pregnant moms, this issue offers info you’ll want to hold onto for the entire nine months. You parents of babies and toddlers, never fear! We haven’t forgotten you: You’ll find articles dealing with these age groups, along with a redesigned calendar that will keep you and your little ones busy every day of the week.

We’ve had a lot of fun putting together this “debut” issue for you and hope you enjoy it as much as we have. As always, I’d love to hear your feedback on our new look, along with any suggestions you have for stories or topics you’d like us to cover on the pages of KC Baby.
