HappyBottoms for Happy Mother's Day
Looking for a way to give back to our community? As we enter the month of May and get close to Mother’s Day, a perfect way to honor all moms while helping the KC community is as easy as purchasing a package of diapers. HappyBottoms, a Kansas City diaper bank, works provide diapers to low-income families through donations, both financial and in-kind, and by conducting diaper drives while raising awareness of the need for diapers for low-income families.
Some exciting news for HappyBottoms-- they have been picked by the National Diaper Bank to be a regional partner. What this means is that HappyBottoms will be able to purchase a million diapers over the next two years, and even better, for just two cents a diaper. This will allow them to serve more children more rapidly than they could have planned. Their hope is to be serving 1500 children a month by the end of this year. In order to make this happen they need your support to leverage their buying power and every little bit helps!
HappyBottoms has partnered with Price Chopper and is in the midst a huge diaper drive. To donate, visit one of these locations:

HappyBottoms will be collecting diapers on Friday May 10th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturday May 11th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. They are in need of all sizes of baby diapers and are particularly in need of pull ups (training pants).
If you would like to donate to HappyBottoms in honor of your Mom or another important woman in your life – send an email to mothersday@happybottoms.org with Mom’s name. HappyBottoms will publish Mom’s name on their website (happybottoms.org) and Facebook page. You will be emailed a certificate that you can give to Mom. By donating in honor of your Mom you can help a mother in need provide diapers for her baby.
