Baby Scientists Needed!

Kansas City University has a new Baby Development Lab that studies cognitive development in the first year of life. Dr. Nicki Zieber and colleagues are looking for parents with a 5- to 7-month-old child to participate in a research study. The study involves one 30-minute visit to our child-friendly lab on KCU's campus (1711 E. Missouri Ave. Kansas City, MO 64106). At the visit, we have your child sit on your lap while they view some emotional facial expressions on a TV, and we just want to see where they look. It is a fun family experience and you are helping to contribute to our understanding of babies' social knowledge in their first year. To show our appreciation, we will send you a $25 Amazon e-gift card after your visit. We have more information available on our website https://kcubabydevlab.com/ as well as a form you can fill out to participate.

Feel free to contact us if your child has yet to be born or is younger than 7 months- we might have an upcoming study that you would be eligible for! We call parents based on their child’s due date or birth date when they enter in the right age range for one of our studies.

If this sounds like something that would interest you, you can reach us via email kcubabydevlab@kansascity.edu or via phone at 816-654-7804.

We hope to hear from you!
