Spring Break Dreamin'

Spring Break is almost here and I for one am kind of in a panic!  Oh, how I wish we were going away to some tropical location where the kids could frolic in the surf while I sit in a beach chair sipping a cold beverage.  But, that's not happening this year for us, so we're going to have to make the best of it here in good ol' KC!

Thankfully, we live in a super FUN city and KC Parent has a ton of fun ideas for us, but I'm still wondering how we'll make the week fun for the kids without making us want to pull out our hair.  My main worry is that every fun place around town will be super crowded since everyone is out of school.  Not really sure there is much we can do about that, but we'll probably try to get to attractions first thing in the morning to try to beat the rush.

I'm also hoping that the weather will be nice...because it's so easy to fill a day when you can spend it at the park, riding bikes, or exploring Powell Gardens.  So, Gary Lezak...are you listening?  Help us out...no snow this year!

It's also time for me to restock the craft supplies!  Thankfully there are a lot of crafty things on clearance at Target.  But I need to start looking for fun ideas now!  Anyone have anything fun to pass along?

We'll probably end up jumping in some bounce houses, visiting a polar bear, watching a movie or two, catching a planetarium show, and who knows what else.  But no matter what we end up doing, my main goal is just to make it FUN for the kids.  I'll take a cue from them and do what THEY want to do.

How about you?  What are your plans for Spring Break?
