Spring Cleaning!
Wow! Have you been enjoying the warmer temps this week? I just love spring and warmer weather. These nice temps have put me into a major spring cleaning mode.
If you’ve gotten your April issue of KC Parent , then you’ve read about (and seen photos of!) my closet and how it was transformed from “Whoa!” to “Wow!” in just 4 hours (and if you don’t have your copy of April yet, what are you waiting for? It’s chock full of great articles and ideas J). I worked with local mom, Kristi Pelzel who owns her own company, The Organization People. Her goal is to come into your home and help you get organized and she is great at doing just that.
I’ve got to say that one unexpected and added benefit from my work with Kristi is how much I’ve been inspired to take what she and I did to my closet and work on other parts of my house. Armed with all the knowledge she shared with me and all of her helpful tips, I’ve already tackled and organized the guest bedroom and Ally’s closet. It feels so good to get those areas cleaned and organized! In fact, I’ve found so many treasures along the way that I no longer need along the way that I am having my first garage sale this year!
This weekend, Tori’s closet and parts of the basement are on the agenda. I am a woman on a mission and really owe a lot of it to Kristi. She showed me just how easy and how little time it really takes to give a part of your home a good cleaning. I think in the past I’ve looked at all the projects that needed to get done, felt overwhelmed and in turn, did nothing. With her help, I’ve gotten busy and am loving my newly organized home (and yes, I often just open the door to Ally’s closet and marvel at how nice it looks).
