Summer Sounds at Park Place
We LOVE Free Outdoor Concerts and this year, Park Place is the place to be with FREE Concerts every Thursday!
When and Where:
FREE Concerts are performed every Thursday from 6-8pm at Park Place Leawood (located at the corner of 117th and Nall). Driving Directions to Park Place. Concerts performed in Barkley Square. Map of Park Place.
Seating & Eating:
- Bring your lawnchairs and blankets and spread out in the grass at Barkley Square!
- Bring your own snacks or eat pre-show or post-show at one of Park Place's many fabulous restaurants (guide to Park Place Restaurants). Faves with kids include: Ingredient, the gourmet fast casual restaurant serving delicious salads, sandwiches and pizzas. California Pizza Kitchen, one of our fave pizza places! Gordon Biersch with fantastic food for any appetite.
- Treat the kids to dessert! Paciugo Gelato is fantastic authentic gelato. Cupcake a la Mode makes delicious delicate cupcakes.
Special Events for Families:
- Once a month a concert is held with kids in mind! Every Concert is performed from 6-8pm. Tonight is the FIRST concert for kids with a performance by the Okee Dokee Brothers! The schedule includes:

- A full-blown street party will "Paint The Night" at Leawood’s Park Place on July 13. This summer street party is free to attend and will be filled with live music, street performers, outdoor activities, and entertainment. Guests can explore with drinks in hand as Ash Street, Leawood’s downtown-style Main Street, and Barkley Square, will be lined with food and drink tents featuring specials from all of Park Place’s restaurants.
