Make sure to visit the Weston Orchard & Vineyard, a favorite autumn destination where you can pick apples and pumpkins, enjoy a hayride and family fun on the jumping pillow and play spaces. Weston’s Apple Fest and Irish Fest each autumn are two favorites to celebrate the season. Green Dirt Farm offers tours where visitors learn about grass-fed lambs, sheep, milk and cheeses. North of the Missouri River lies one of the region’s most scenic campgrounds and historic sites. Watkins Mill State Park features a 100-acre lake, campgrounds, picnic areas, trails and Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site. There, you can tour a 19thcentury three-story woolen mill and home to learn what life was like for families more than a century ago. The lake features a paved bike path, fishing spots, boating, picnic tables and a swim beach. During the day you’ll see white-tailed deer, wild turkeys and a variety of birds (pack some binoculars and a good camera), and at night you’ll find terrific views for stargazing
