Cedar Cove: Public Tours
Come meet our feline friends! Experience Cedar Cove Feline Conservatory with an experienced guide. See these epic animals and learn about their characteristics and behaviors!
Cedar Cove is a non-profit conservation and education center committed to the care and preservation of wildlife species and their habitats while educating the public on the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems and the impending dangers of ecological collapse.
Entrance and exit will be outside our main building, but we have 2 restrooms in the building so you will be allowed in the building to use them but not allowed in the building otherwise.
Children 3 and under FREE and do not count towards group total!
Saturday:
- Tours starting every half hour, beginning at 11:00. Groups will be limited to (20).
- Gates Closed and Last Tour starts at 1:30pm
- 12:30, 1:00 and 1:30 tours will watch 2:00 pm feeding.
Sunday:

Fall Public Hayride
Enjoy the outdoors with a hayride through Oak Ridge Parklands at Shawnee Mission Park. Your hayride concludes with a warm campfire where marshmallows and apple cider await. Advance registration required. Children 2 and under are free.
Movie in the Pool + Kids Night Out
Make a splash this winter at Movie in the Pool! Float, swim or lounge while watching Disney Pixar’s “Luca” on our giant indoor screen at the Lenexa Rec Center. It’s a unique way to enjoy movie night — poolside.
Want to plan a date night? Sign up your child (Kindergarten – Age 12) for Kids Night Out instead, which starts an hour earlier at 5:30 p.m. We’ll provide a pizza dinner and games and then take your child to Movie in the Pool.

Cookies with Santa
During Cookies with Santa you and your group can enjoy cookies, cocoa, and of course a meeting with Santa himself!
Each group reserves a 10 minute spot for their meeting with the big guy, which means NO LINES!
The cost is $25 per group. Every group will receive a 4 x 6 printed photograph. Additional prints may be purchased at the event.
