Minecraft Day in Science City
Join us for Minecraft Day at Science City at Union Station! On Wednesday, June 10, step into the Overworld for a full day of building, crafting, exploring, and Minecraft-themed fun.
Create pixelated art and Minecraft hand puppets, get up close with a real-life axolotl, test your Minecraft knowledge, experiment with exploding Creepers, check out fun Minecraft-themed photo ops, complete a scavenger hunt to earn a special 3D-printed keychain created by our Maker Studio, and more!
Minecraft Day activities are all included with your Science City admission, along with full-day access to Science City’s three massive floors of themed spaces packed with 300+ interactive exhibits and high-energy play zones.

Minecraft Day activities include:
Exploding Creepers – Try your hand at drawing a Creeper’s face before making it blast sky-high using science!
BLOCK Printing – Celebrate the core part of Minecraft, the blocks! Use flat LEGO pieces to create pixelated art that looks like it came right out of the game. Take your creation home with you.
Minecraft Hand Puppets – Use laser-cut paper pieces to create your very own Minecraft-inspired hand puppet and play with them in a small diorama featuring 3D printed props.
Minecraft Animals – Learn more about the animals from Minecraft and even see some up close during special Nature Chats taking place at 11:30am and 2pm.
Minecraft Trivia – Test your Minecraft knowledge and be entered for a chance to win a 3D-printed Glow Box.
Minecraft Mosaics – Use LEGO bricks to create your own piece and add it to a collaborative Minecraft-inspired mosaic that will grow throughout the day.
Minecraft Photo Ops – Strike your best block pose and get your picture taken with our fun photo ops featuring Minecraft-themed backdrops, masks, and props.
Breaking News – A massive Creeper outbreak has threatened Overworld, and Science City News needs your help! Join us in the Newsroom at Overworld Headquarters to deliver dramatic updates straight from your favorite biome. Step under the Studio Lights for a play-pretend live broadcast or head to the Green Screen for an on-location report from deep caves, village markets, or even the Nether itself!
