Lenexa Fire Station No. 3 Open House event

Join us for a day of free family fun. Visit Lenexa Fire Station #3 to interact with Lenexa firefighters and learn what equipment they use to fight fires and how they keep our community safe.

Fire truck, helicopter and station tours

Fire safety trailer demo

Hands-only CPR training

Hot dogs and chips (while supplies last)

Special activities

11 a.m. — Live side-by-side fire sprinkler burn trailer. Come watch how quickly a small fire can spread and see the difference that a home sprinkler system can make.

1 p.m. — Vehicle extrication demonstration. Major car crashes sometimes leave passengers trapped inside the vehicle until the fire department can get them out. Watch as firefighters cut open a staged wrecked car as if someone was trapped inside.

Parking

Free overflow parking is available at St. James High School, 24505 Prairie Star Pkwy. This parking lot is within walking distance of the event site.
