Time Travelers - Down on the Farm
Step back in time to the 1920's at Shawnee Town 1929 Museum. Today you'll be on the farm doing laundry with a washboard and hanging clothes on the line. You'll feed our chickens including our rooster, Duke, and hand churn ice cream. Youmm!
Today's feature activities: 11 am - 1 pm Leatherworking with Cornie Neufeld, retired nurse and Kansas Farmer. 11 am - 1 pm Playing marbles with Rich Maxwell, marbles collector and author. 10:30 am - 12 pm Make puppets with Michelle Meade, children's book illustrator and graduate of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts teaching program.
Time Travelers activities change every week through August 9th. There are three main programs and they rotate every three weeks: Down on the Farm, In the Garden, and Goin' to Town with extra activities every time. Experience all of them this summer! Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am - 3 pm. Select Wednesdays 6-8 pm.
