The Barstow School provides an independent school education that is innovative, inclusive and in demand. Our rigorous curriculum emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning. In our classrooms and at our state-of-the-art STEAM learning center, Barstow students apply science, technology, engineering, arts and math skills across subjects to develop lifelong skills: critical thinking, reativity, collaboration, communication, analysis and design thinking. Barstow students are writers, artists, makers and doers. Our athletic program offers a dozen competitive sports and updated facilities, with a new athletic building opening in 2024-2025. Signature programs include robotics, debate, digital broadcasting and global education. Service leadership learning begins in early childhood and builds with every grade level, as part of our mission to promote the symmetrical development of mind, body and character.” Our diverse and connected community enjoys traditions that span 140 years, while embracing the tools and technology that moves education forward and puts every student on their path to success.
